Micro Needling

What is this system?

The aim of RF microneedling is to improve a range of skin conditions including, depressed acne scarring, surgical scars, sun damaged skin, uneven skin texture, pigmentation, wrinkles, “smile lines”, stretch marks and cellulite.
This revolutionary treatment increases the production of collagen with minimal damage to the protective layer of the skin.
The Radio Frequency provides direct heat by means of a current , into the epidermis and dermis. This stimulates the production of collagen and elastin.

The outer layers of the skin, known as the epithelium, are Known to provide 80% of the resistance to penetration of creams. The microneedles penetrate this layer, creating tiny channels through which creams may penetrate. These channels will close within 90 minutes restoring the bodies natural defenses. Meanwhile the active ingredients in the cream, will be acting in and under the skin.

How many treatments?

Treatments, on average, are performed every four to five weeks. They are also repeated three to four times a year. However, deeper problems such as acne scaring, may require more visits.

Downtime!

Micro needles are non-surgical and non-ablative. This means that they more forgiving and skin friendly. Those who undergo this treatment experience minimal discomfort as a topical anesthetic is first applied. The skin has a mild erythema which may be described as a sunburnt look. This is easily covered with a mineral foundation and resolves in 1-3 days.

Where can it be used?

RF microneedling can be performed anywhere over the body, for most skin conditions and on any skin type, whether it be fair or dark.
